The use of the name “Suomi” in boat manufacturing and the history of Suomi boats extend back decades. Suomi boats have been produced since 1976 in Kesälahti, by the clear waters of Lake Puruvesi. The range has included traditional rowing and motor boats made of fiberglass from the very beginning. Today, the story continues with motor boats under the ownership of Suomiboats Oy.
Suomiboats Oy manufactures the domestic Suomi44 and Suomi47 motor boat models, designed for Finland’s lake regions and coastal areas, for cottage, fishing, and transport use. The Suomi44 and Suomi47 motor boats are largely handcrafted from fiberglass, using raw materials and components that meet strict quality criteria. Recognized for their safety and usability, these double-hulled boats are also exceptionally easy to maintain and stylish. The boats can be equipped with side or center consoles for rear driving, or with separate seating and center consoles for central driving. The Suomi44 also has a light console option on the aft side for maximizing deck space, ideal for fishing or transportation. The Suomi47 comes standard with features like a laminate set and hydraulic steering, paired with a maximum 60 hp engine for enjoyable leisure boating.
